Empowering sustainable futures: 15th Redress Design Award opens for entries

[Hong Kong, 13 January 2025] – The Redress Design Award, the world’s leading sustainable fashion design competition, announces the opening of its 2025 competition. Environmental fashion NGO Redress, together with Lead Sponsor the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, invites sustainably-minded designers with less than four years of professional experience to enter the prestigious competition from now until 14 March 2025.

2025 marks a major milestone for the Redress Design Award, celebrating the 15th edition of the global competition (previously the Ecochic Design Award). This exciting anniversary also, however, underscores a stark reality — that fashion production continues to increase in scale, depleting planetary resources and creating unsustainable amounts of waste.

About Redress

Redress is a Hong Kong-headquartered, Asia-focused environmental charity with a mission to accelerate the change to a circular fashion industry by educating and empowering designers and consumers so as to reduce clothing’s negative environmental impacts. Its dynamic programmes work to minimise the negative impacts of fashion, whilst promoting innovative new models and driving growth towards a more sustainable industry via the circular economy. The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) established in June 2024, formerly known as Create Hong Kong (CreateHK), is a dedicated office set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau to provide one-stop services and support to the cultural and creative industries with a mission to foster a conducive environment in Hong Kong to facilitate the development of arts, culture and creative sectors as industries.
