Redress Design Award Collection

Yiwen’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘After Camping’, repurposes secondhand camping materials including tents and sleeping bags into elegant wearable designs. To upcycle the items, they were disassembled, pleated, and cut to create new fabrics, some of which were shuttle-weaved to create a lattice-style tasseled fabric. A tent zipper is reintegrated into a hat, windproof cords are added for decoration, and a pair of trousers are made from waterproof material, offering extra durability.
