Meet The Designer

“I stand for representing how possible it is to design a luxurious collection out of sustainable fabrics. With the resources and knowledge that exists today, there is little excuse to still be using harmful fibres.”

Redress Design Award Collection

Lucy’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Buried Wonders’, exposes and explores the waste generated by the fashion and textile industries, starting from the cutting room floor. She uses recycled cotton and linen scrap fabrics sourced from designers and studio factories to create elevated looks including a dress and suit. Lucy then naturally dyes the fabric off-cuts with indigo rind, cuts some into diamond shapes, and patchworks them together, making use of even the smallest scraps. The designs are topped off with silver embellishments, which are recycled trims sourced from factory leftovers.
