Redress Design Award Collection

Lea’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘GIFTS’, draws inspiration from the romantic practice of gift-giving, including the arts of Japanese fabric wrapping and crochet. The collection features zero-waste rectangular and extendable honeycomb cuts, offering adjustable sizing to promote longevity. Lea uses recycled fibres to minimise waste and biodegradable materials such as algae-based fibres and mycelium leather to enable recyclability. She also designs clothing parts that can be disassembled and replaced, and works with recycling organisations to extend the life of her garments.
