Sophia Marie’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Fluidity’, is inspired by the designer’s ancestral land and mythology of Greece, interpreted for the goddesses of today, ‘it’ girls. The collection is made of upcycled denim, featuring armour-like garments that juxtapose structural shapes with Grecian drapes. Sophia Marie designs for low waste by selecting secondhand clothing, deadstock fabrics, and natural fibres, with trims using organic cotton thread and natural shell buttons, plus natural indigo dye. Her garments also offer multi-wear options with layering for versatility across seasons.
