Redress Design Award Collection

Dayoung’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Hyper Bobusang; Beautiful sweat’, is inspired by the Korean traditional merchant ‘Bobusang’ carrying huge quantities of commodities with a frame called ‘Ji-gae’. The collection focuses on practical customer needs, providing wearable shells with functionality that allow wearers to ‘sweat beautifully’ as they travel. Dayoung sources secondhand pieces and damaged deadstock to create transformable garments such as a hoodie that can turn into a bag, and a fastenable pocket insert that can be applied to a backpack and jumper, offering versatility and longevity.
