Redress Design Award Collection

Hitoe’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘DROWNING ADOLESCENCES’, symbolises the fear of entering adulthood, its responsibilities likened to the drowning desperation of rain. The collection is designed for low environmental impact with materials like organic biodegradable cotton, hemp, and recycled fibres sourced from thrift and deadstock fabric stores. Zero-waste designs are used for the halter top and a pair of shorts with layered ruffles made from recycled curtain organza, plus leftover lace and tulle.
