Redress Design Award Collection

Shiyuan’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Remodeling’, is inspired by the Eastern restoration technique of kintsugi to promote environmental protection. The collection combines outdoor fabrics with secondhand denim and knitwear to achieve waterproofing using a clear nylon paste. Designing for longevity, jackets are made with a modular structure with detachable parts to allow for easier repair. To achieve a balance between functionality and style, Shiyuan maintained some of the structure of the original upcycled clothing.
