Redress Design Award Collection

Peter’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘TRINKETS’, translated from the Austrian word for junk as well as referencing old items, represents the often overlooked and underestimated queer community. The collection features colourful garments made from secondhand scarves, neckerchiefs, cotton crochet pieces, tea towels, tablecloths, and handkerchiefs. Peter uses a zero-waste pattern that combines several rectangles in a recursive alignment that can be expanded for size adjustments. Designing for recyclability, he combines mono-fibre materials within the same garment.
