Redress Design Award Collection

Patrik’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Életfa’ (Hungarian for ‘Tree of Life’), draws inspiration from Hungarian folklore, where this ancient symbol represents the link between earthly and celestial realms. The collection embraces natural dyes and uses biodegradable byproducts from the food (pineapple or banana silk) and furniture industries (wood shavings), paired with recycled cotton linings, including a detachable lining on a cami dress that can be recycled on its own, and biodegradable fastening, such as wooden buttons. For a subtle, luxurious shimmer, wooden sheets are finished with chemical-free bioplastic, then cut by hand and laser to create decorative sequins.
