Redress Design Award Collection

Angelique’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Longest Goodbye’, draws inspiration from dementia, which she witnessed through her grandparents. The collection makes use of deconstructed silhouettes as a representation of memory loss, patchwork to depict patchy memory, and combining garments to reflect the feeling of safety in wearing familiar clothes. Angelique sources unwanted, damaged suits from a thrift market and combines them with leftover shirts from previous projects to create patchwork textiles for her looks.
